headlands - sculpture on the gulf

Auckland anniversary weekend - sculpture on the gulf time!

Super long weekend on Waiheke Island, where the family and I took a wander along the 'headland sculpture on the gulf' walk.  A beautiful day with stunning and exceptional works made for a great outing.  The well earned ginger beers, 'real' beers and a glasses of obsidian vino at the pavilion were a bonus.

Family favorites included...

It was especially interesting to see the works in place as we had assisted Nansi Thompson, artistic director for the 2013 exhibition, in drawing the site plan required for Resource Consent and other assorted meetings where a drawing was required to provide focus!

Get out there and take a look.

henceforth...
